You don’t ’speak truth to power’. Power doesn’t care or listen. You speak truth INTO power. We already won against Covid. It’s the minimisers who lost. A message from Puss in Boots. /1 https://t.co/ZRxHhEwtWG

Pretty much all the narratives about doing more against Covid are reactive. They assume a loss, and plead for a win. But anybody who’s avoiding Covid ALREADY WON. Catching it is no victory at all. /2

Minimisers are positively aroused by narratives that plead for them to do differently. It’s a total victory for them, they’re being spoken to as if they have the power. They don’t. They’re losing every day, by allowing repeated infections. /3

Like Puss in Boots, we need to start speaking as if we’re already the winners. Because we are. Objectively, in reality. If you’re not being infected, you’re winning. You’re healthy, probably the healthiest you’ve been in your life. Nothing is infecting you. /4 https://t.co/tHrpj9YEJR

We would of course love for this to be a lot easier, by not having to do it all ourselves. To not need a triple century, because everybody else threw their wicket away. But if we hit that triple century, we still win. Even though it’s hard. /5

The strong have total belief in what they do. Even if they’re completely outnumbered. To them whether others figure out what needs doing is irrelevant. They just do the right thing. They follow reality. They don’t plead with others, as if those others define reality. /6

They create the reality they want to live in. They don’t give power to the others, by assuming right from the start that the others are the winners. This is what Puss in Boots is about. Not an analogy. It’s about power. How the strong think and act. /7 https://t.co/DfWSZG9DT5

Reframe this whole pandemic. The people who refused to ‘live with’ Covid are the winners. Every day. They’re like the skydivers who remembered their parachutes. The minimisers left theirs on the plane. /8

Speak truth INTO power. Reality is not defined by what minimisers are doing. It doesn’t care what they’re doing. Follow reality, and you win. Even if it’s hard work. Every day. Minimisers will join you eventually, because reality always wins. /9

Celebrate your new health, the best of your life. Make that the status that others have to emulate. Don’t be whiney, pleading for others to do the right thing. They think they win, that way. Be proud, make them resent what you have and they don’t. /10

All societies function via status. Not information or knowledge. Make good health the status thing. Not infection. That’s ridiculous, laughable. Imagine playing for that team. Hilarious. /end
