Talking to a family yesterday where fighting has broken out over who made who else sick. Because they’ve had Covid multiple times, they’re not happy to now all be sick again, and the blame game has started. Was it a family gathering? Why was person A there, aren’t they unwell? /1

None of them focus their anger on the real issue here, which is ongoing mass infection. A community under assault from all variety of infectious disease. They can’t admit that’s the cause, because of months of proud ‘living with Covid’ nonsense. So the anger is privatised. /2

Some of them probably even log on to social media to vent their frustration there. That’s its job, to soak up anger that might actually lead to transformational change, and re-route it into endless daily team sports squabbles. Divide and conquer, the libertarians win again. 3/3
