Why "Everything in Moderation" is dumb. And wrong. http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/health/moderation-doesnt-mean-what-you-think-it-means/
Not even Billy was as bad.
The Great Permian Extinction, when up to 96% of all life on Earth was wiped out. The cause? Most likely accelerated global warming. If you oppose trying to do something about global warming, please be absolutely sure you have a clue what you're talking about. For your kids' sake. If you just want to screw 'the Left', whatever that is, grow up. http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/prehistoric-world/permian-extinction/
Very powerful visual summary of all 2053 (yes, 2053!) nuclear tests that were done between World War 2 until today. Nobody knows how they've affected the health of people globally. They start slowly but watch them really ramp up over time. And look at the number the fuckers exploded in the beautiful, pristine Pacific. Australia was close to lots of these, including the ones the in-breds from the UK exploded directly on our soil.
I actually saw a recommendation for people with constipation that they pretend they can't get to the loo, for example by trying to get in the door to the house. Apparently it's very effective.
Breakfast!
I take it back, we do have trains.
Cranky old rich white men have convinced everybody they should be allowed to own all the toys. Let's take the toys back.
Funk to the max. What a band.
Am a big fan of Open Focus work, it's an extremely powerful alternative way to think about use. And the focus of Open Focus is in how we pay attention, so it means you can work with a person's activity out into the world rather than with their body functioning (which follows automatically from the attention). Here's a nice short example of how it gets applied in practice: http://www.openfocusattentiontraining.com/2015/08/12/solving-problems/#comment-957
Are there too many happy, meaningless lives?
I reckon trees can hugely change the character of any town or city. It's not surprising that expensive suburbs are often called 'leafy'. But any town or suburb can do it.
Good onya Sunday Night. Exposing the biggest bludgers in Australia.
So amazing.
Won't work.
The dietitians out in force, listen to me, not to Pete Evans! What an utterly failed field, decades of abject failure in every possible way, no serious, reproducible scientific basis for just about everything they say. And now taking the moral high ground purely because people have had enough of their failures and are taking matters into their own hands. Doesn't mean "paleo" is the answer either. But it does mean people are fed up with the dietary status quo, because it simply doesn't work. The more dietitians come back with the same ideas that have failed so many for so many years, the more irrelevant they will become to everyday people.
Government revenue is already bankrupt after the last lot of tax cuts. So the only way this will be doable is by complete slashing and burning of public services. which they're admitting (funded by 'savings'). We don't want to be the U.S.
Thought this was interesting.
The problem in America isn't really guns. The problem in America is violence, and giving violent people guns isn't going to end well. So why is American culture violent? That's the question. Itchy and Scratchy knew that was the question.
Nice when talent beats drugs.
I do really try to like rats. Some clever and some cute here.
Dang if history don't repeat. Except the first time the con actually worked. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Fortitude
