The path to sanity? Focus on the material realities of our lives, the continental plates under the frisson of the team sports human status games overlaid upon them. Stop thinking which team’s leader makes a difference, or that the members of the other team are stupid. 1/3

Humans can’t debate reality into existence. They have far less control than they imagine, no humility before a much bigger universe. Most progress in human civilisation came *from* reality, catastrophic disruptions to our team sports status games. 2/3

It’s like arguing whether a ball will drop to the ground when you let it go. It’s Carroll’s caucus race, everybody running in circles until they collapse with exhaustion, achieving nothing. Make a material difference to things, ignore debate. It’s just status games. /end https://t.co/x51eleKMYT
