It’s not that we alternate between good leaders and bad leaders. That’s the lie that makes us still believe in elections. It’s that we believe humans control reality. Rather than have the humility to respond to it. 2/3

Our electoral politics is a thin veneer of bullshit overlaid upon the material realities of our lives. We could choose to get rid of that veneer and focus only on those material realities. We won’t though, because status is our addiction. /end
