The medium is the message. It’s not the information or content on social media that is dangerous. It’s that it’s a substitute for society itself. Our most intimate and deepest personal and social lives. Which is all of our lives. 2/5

Just look at it. We now transact a vast amount of our personal, social, political and professional lives, on these platforms. We watch too many Hollywood movies. The AI fear is mostly people watching Terminator too many times. Imagining machines taking over the world. 3/5

Which fundamentally misunderstands machines, just for starters. But we’re already well past the point where a technology has done as good as that anyway. This is it, right here. Social media. 4/5
