#Insiders notes it was a ‘change election’ (because people are struggling, then moves on to all the (very common) meaningless babble about why people voted the way they did. We’re on track to completely misunderstand yet another election. 1/3

People vote mostly according to the material reality of their lives, and not according to the characteristics of any of the teams battling to rule them. ‘The economy’ is not only not helping those lives, but is actively undermining them. 2/3

Until we see that, we’ll keep wasting our time trying to understand elections by what made this or that team popular. Fix the material realities of peoples’ lives. The teams are irrelevant. /end
