We still have the idea that societies operate using information. They absolutely don’t, they operate using status and conformity. People are ignoring Covid because their friends and family are. That’s also why people are genuinely puzzled when you tell them Covid isn’t over. They never were assessing that using science of any kind. They were assessing it according to what the people around them were doing. 2/3

Also why they say things like ‘you don’t have to wear a mask any more’. Again, no science there, it’s about permission and conformity. Societies are social. In every detail. They run using social principles. Not on information, ever. /end
