Just as there’s no objective way Trump should be allowed to run a school fete. Let alone the free world. But placing our faith in popularity as a way to select leadership does this. Because that’s our culture. 2/4

High school culture. Elections are high school for adults. Where you get to choose who the most popular are. The most popular at school were often vicious morons. Populism is the end of every democracy. 3/4
