Isn’t it strange that people cry now when they lose in sport? As a kid playing sport, it was a disgrace to cry, if you lost. Bad sportsmanship. And winners the same, with their orgasmic euphoria. Any coach of my childhood would have been furious with either. This means things. /1 https://t.co/gNS5Dfx0at
Challenging the euphoria in particular will cop you a backhand for being a miserable sod without a life. But you can enjoy a game and a win without buying into the euphoria. Or the misery of loss. It’s a fucking game. And not just soccer, this is all sports now. /2
Even in the tough world of rugby league, it’s become almost expected now that the losing team will sit on the ground and have a cry after the game. Hard not to see this as a collapse of collective social behaviour. Immaturity. Adolescent high school life, again. /end https://t.co/Qdu5uIvCqx
