UK news yesterday, claims of this being the most ‘normal Christmas since the pandemic began’. More gaslighting rubbish. As a family currently having its Christmas ruined by having to manage Covid as a new house guest, the previous two were much more normal. /1

When we had the virus under much greater control. I’d like to challenge the minimisers about ‘living with the virus’ at Christmas time. How do you do it? Let the infected sit at the table, infecting the rest of the family and friends? Let’s unpack the slogans for once. /2

The idea that a Christmas is more normal when a large number of the population are infected with a lethal virus - how much longer do we have to sit here and put up with this meaningless propaganda? The only meaning of ‘normal’ that minimisers mean is ‘economic activity’. /3

Businesses running, businesses open, including travel and entertainment businesses. Cash flowing. Flying on planes. Pathologically abnormal is people doing all of these things infected with a lethal virus, and infecting and reinfecting everybody else as they go about it. /4
