If public health advice is 'get infected as often as you like', isn't that what would happen with no advice?…

If public health advice is 'get infected as often as you like', isn't that what would happen with no advice? I struggle to understand the point of being an (apparent) expert in pandemics, if your advice is 'just get infected'. 'Get vaccinated'? That's just a brochure.
