Upon entry to the camp, new prisoners were assessed by the Koreans for leadership qualities (about 5% of prisoners exhibited those). Those prisoners were immediately killed. Another 10% or prisoners became reliable informants to the Koreans, to weed out any leaders missed. /3

The remaining prisoners then gave up, mounted little or no resistance. 40% of them died. The key insight into human and group behaviour here is, a very few people tend to drive the thinking and direction of everybody else. Despite our ideas about 'democracy' as.../4

...some form of collective sovereign will, it's never functioned like that. No society has. How does this link to modern libertarianism? Well, they know this. They deliberately engineer continuous assaults on 'authority', because they want to strip society of all of its.../5

...existing hierarchies. All of its many forms of expertise and leadership. Leaving the public, like the US POWs, with no source of guidance. That then leaves the ground open for them to provide a single source of direction to the public: the libertarians themselves. /6

...and stupidity, because there are no adults. We severed the 'circle of life' by separating schools off from adult life, while adults pursued eternal 'lifestyle lives, decoupled from history and custom and tradition. Schools then became the seed beds of our socieities,.../10

...the only social model we knew. So we re-made all of society as a high school, packed full of adolescents. And here we are, refusing to fight a lethal virus and rampant climate change, because nobody tells us what to do, nobody can ground us. We're adolescents. /end
