We have a NSW Government and federal government who both have resisted basic public health action to end a pandemic. This threatens the life of every person in the country. Orders of magnitude more serious than the economic reasons used to dismiss Lang and Whitlam. /2

It’s testament to the strategic power of the idea of the ‘Economy’ that these two situations are perceived in such disproportionate ways. Peoples’ lives are way down the ladder of importance, with the right of unfettered commerce sitting at the top. /end
