People here know I talk a lot about our unhealthy obsession with travel. Try this reality filter, particularly if you think it's the Chinese who did all this: - every single case of Covid-19 in Australia right now is the result of travel. All pandemics in all of history result from either war, or travel. Both break subtle ecosystems of living. - even small towns like mine now have cases, for a single reason: returning travellers - there are currently 50-60 THOUSAND Australian travellers still overseas, wanting to come home - many of these people went on their trips knowing we're in the middle of a global pandemic. Many went even after the government said to them 'don't go'. Those that went before that decided to take no responsibility themselves.
