More reframing. The people of the UK can’t agree, on Brexit. Is it a crisis, or could disagreement be the basis of a society, not just agreement? Compromise as the basis for society, rather than the false gods of agreement, like ‘the economy’, or ‘sovereignty’, or ‘Left’ or ’Right’? Why can’t we say compromise between *disagreeing* people is the new way our societies will run? We have very little appetite for compromise, we’re all extremists, all so sure our view is the right one. Including the ‘no politics please’ view, probably the most extremist of the lot.
