Australia lagging here, as in so many other areas. I’m sitting here right now with a temperature of nearly -5 outside, and I don’t even need a heater on, the temperature is about the same as when we went to bed last night. That’s the new windows at work. It’s also blissfully silent, that’s the windows too, they block huge amounts of sound. Yes these things cost money. But Australians spend lots more money on much less useful things, usually focused on recreation. Travel, caravans and camper trailers, ridiculously oversized cars, boats, dining out and take away food, booze, gambling, fuel for the boats and oversized cars, etc. It’s about priorities. High quality windows are also beautiful. (P.S. don’t waste money on triple glazing, the Australian climate doesn’t need it. Double glazing is perfect.)
