There’s a story in the news today about the backlash against businesses who no longer accept cash. In my experience the people who want to use cash for everything usually harbour trauma through families from the Great Depression. Or they’re businesses who want to avoid paying GST (which robs all of us). But here’s another reason to avoid cash - it’s filthy. Everything from drugs to fecal bacteria on it, and who would be surprised? It moves through so many (unwashed) hands.
