The modern suburb is really nothing more than millions of garages. Roads and transport are the central thing. Try this thought experiment. How would our towns and cities look if the number 1 planning requirement for all residential developments was that no resident would need to regularly use a car? OR public transport? Seriously, imagine the transformation.
