Planning relative energy independence for both the home and cars has been my main ‘bucket list’ in recent years. My ‘living my best life’. I funded it by foregoing idiot selfies in front of world tourism landmarks, with tins of sardines (planes) full of tired and bored tourists, all pretending they’re having the best time. THIS is ‘fun’. And fun that lasts all year. Energy is the main tool of power and enslavement in modern life. Oil companies, coal companies, it’s how they dominate us. The heatwave will be ignored today here, air conditioned away if needed, at zero cost. And I can retire earlier, because our energy costs are near zero.
