The dog v cat person thing. I like both animals. But from working in local government, I can say there are 100 complaints about dogs for every complaint about a cat. In fact I don't think I've ever seen a complaint about a cat. Everybody loves THEIR dog. They're not often as keen on the one next door or over the road. It's all very territorial, dog-ness. The dogs are, the owners are.
