Service industries are now almost 80% of the Australian Economy. Do people remember that 'service' is the old word used to describe the work of servants? A person was 'in service' i.e. a servant, or slave. We've jazzed up services to make them trendy, but these are some of the worst paid jobs in the country, with the worst conditions. They're still the old service/slave jobs. And people love it, they fall over themselves to go into service. Proving that you can teach new slaves old tricks.
