The softly-softly 'market' approach to transition to renewable energy and EVs won't work. For starters markets are a fiction. And humans simply won't change if important change is needed, unless they're forced to. For example unlike most of Europe, and China, Australia still hasn't announced an outright ban on sale of petrol and diesel vehicles, by a certain date. It needs to, but I bet it wont. No revolutions happen via personal choice bullshit ideas. They're forced. The first Industrial Revolution wasn't market-driven. Neither were the world wars. It took Trump's idiocy in Iran to get noticeable amounts of Australians off their arse to even look at an EV. (Green is bans by 2030, teal is 2040s, dark blue 2050)
