The UK uses nuclear power. The latest estimate to clean up the waste produced by its nuclear reactors is $526 billion. Plus another $107 billion to build a new waste facility to process new waste. That’s about $640 billion. For that money you could put free solar power and a battery on every household in Australia, with $433 billion in change.
