Many ask why I still wear a mask. Not one person has ever thought that it might be to protect others, as well as myself. Doesn’t even occur to them. That’s our culture now, orbiting ‘me’ in everything it does. Social media dramatically amplifies that shift. Turning entire societies into posturing, selfie-absorbed adolescents, too timid to question or challenge anything for fear of standing out from the crowd.
