Why doesn't a television strike people as a miracle? We're so blasé about these things. Yes it's clever technology, but that doesn't explain anything. The miracle is that images and sounds can be taken from one place, embedded in completely different materials to the images and sounds, and reproduced in another place. It means the images and sounds don't belong to their source, they're implicit or virtual in other parts of reality too. All of reality is virtually present or implied in all other parts.
