This is why no matter how many times you catch Covid, you won’t become immune to it. Covid creates no lasting immunity. Ro is a measure of how infectious a disease is, a Ro of 18 means one person can infect 18 others. While the first 4 diseases listed can create lasting immunity if you catch them, Covid won’t. It’s also almost as infectious as measles, the gold standard for massive infection. When a politician or even doctor tells you we’re all developing ‘hybrid immunity’ (vaccination + infection) to Covid, they’re lying. Covid is the ultimate killing machine. If you’re celebrating that it gave you only ‘mild illness’, that’s it tricking your immune system. It’s why it creates no long lasting immunity. It can infect you over and over and over, damaging you more every time.
