I share this stuff not because of a particular love of EVs or renewables. But because these shifts are shifts across our entire societies, everything links back to energy. An energy system that allows you to generate energy more or less for free, anywhere, is going to be a fundamentally different society to one where a tiny handful of people sit on and control all of the energy reserves, as we have now. Also there aren’t two sides here, renewables/EVs versus fossil fuels. Even the fossil fuel companies are rushing to renewables, because they’re so much cheaper. Only social media creates an illusion there’s a contest here.
