Betsey was a member of Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers and formerly Chief Economist at the Deparment of Labor. Here she’s noticing the destruction of adult, institutional culture by kidult culture. The enemy is always the ‘system’ (like teachers or parents), and adults act like selfish teenagers. This week Trump didn’t like the employment numbers in the US, so he fired the head of the agency who produces the numbers. It is an ‘earthquake’, but most kidults will be too busy booking gigs, dinners and trips to notice.
