Here’s another window into kidult culture. Which is social media culture, we live inside the platforms now, they replaced public life. The pandemic is not over. The definition of a pandemic hasn’t changed, it’s defined by the number of infections in circulation. Not by the level of acute injury to those infections. The dangerous thing is the number of infections, which accumulate over time to cause chronic disease. Thus the continued explosion of Long Covid. That’s why the definition is about numbers of infections. The pandemic simply stopped ’trending’. Only what trends is real, for kidults living inside social media platforms. They got bored with the pandemic trending, and moved on to new trends.
