Hendrix was otherworldly. Like nothing before or after really, one of those rare forces of nature. Was watching interviews with him this weekend, and he was always described as so gentle, and that’s how he seems in interviews. But now I see rage and violence in that quietness. He was a very violent man, and often violent people are the most softly spoken, until they explode with rage. Hendrix was one of those.
