This one flew under the radar this week. A proposed traffic light system for NSW schools and Covid. Follow the logic of this one and it's clear again the government plans to allow children to be infected. The amber level is key - Levels 2 and 3 are meaningless. Amber is 'cases in the community, beware'. The problem is anything that happens in a community is hyper-concentrated in its schools, they're the most densely circulating and mixed parts of any community. All of these traffic light systems and other metrics for 'opening up' in the middle of a pandemic are like having a shark attack at a beach, but allowing people to still swim 100m away, because 'the shark is over there'.
