"Society is divided". Well, it always is, you can't even run a small sporting club without everybody disagreeing. People are different. I think society seems more divided now because: 1) disagreements are more visible, through social media, and 2) society itself is actually not very well divided, as the graphic shows. On 2), I think we often forget that to divide also means to share. Society is not divided enough, more division is needed. That's why we argue more.
