I get some snide remarks at work about still masking. Often from people coughing between their chortling. I see firsthand their health falling off a cliff, a day at a time, as their immune system gradually shuts down. People with hives, pneumonia, persistent coughs, bloody eyes, dangerously low heart rates, dizziness, breathlessness etc. etc. Your ‘mild’ repeated cases of Covid are its genius, it tricks your immune system, so that it barely responds. Then it gets to work. It will end your life much earlier than you would like. Not today, but that day will arrive well ahead of how long you’d have lived, without those infections. If you feel more comfortable just doing what everybody else is doing as your guide to health, and let’s face it that makes for an easier life, just be prepared that reality doesn’t give a shit what ‘everybody else is doing’.
