There's a vehicle driving from Lithgow to Bathurst every day, normally at about 90 km/h. Often has a queue of traffic behind it. I went to overtake them today, and suddenly they were doing 125. This sort of driving behavior is the reason I can't wait for humans to have much less control over vehicles. If you can't stick to a speed limit, and somebody overtaking you is some existential threat to your sense of identify, you shouldn't be driving. Similarly the great shortage of truck drivers has now led to cowboys getting behind the wheel of some trucks. Fully laden trucks of 30-50 tonnes, driving through traffic like they're in a sports VW Golf. Or wankpanzers towing big dual-axle car trailers, weaving in and out of traffic at 20-30 over the speed limit. You can get a really accurate assessment of the health of a society by looking at its driving. Australia is becoming the US.
