Work colleague who sits about a metre away from me was home sick with Covid this week. The boss came in and said ‘they have the spicy cough’. This idiot, childish phrase is offensive. Minimising the seriousness of what’s going on, like it’s some new flavour of Doritos, or KFC chicken wings. We don’t do it for malaria. Or HIV. Or Dengue Fever. It would be considered ridiculous. It’s exactly as ridiculous for Covid, which kills a lot more people than most of those other diseases. Grow the fuck up.
