Broken Hill is getting a new type of energy storage, using compressed air. It already has over 250MW of solar and wind farms, which are often switched off because the grid can't cope with the extra power. Now they'll be able to store it, using compressed air. Seriously, what's happening in energy is more interesting and exciting than any movie. (250MW is enough to power 125,000 homes. The population of Broken Hill is under 18,000. They have oodles of spare energy.)
