Power stations in NSW will be replaced by renewable energy zones (REZ). Really worth watching this short vid to see what's planned, and how quickly. For example the Central West-Orana zone will be first, and will be operational by 2025, powering 1.4 million homes. I post a lot about how brutally fast this will happen, because people really have no idea in my experience. Most existing coal-powered electricity generation areas are included in a new REZ. Not Lithgow though. It's going to be left behind if something doesn't happen, and really fast.
