Eric Idle is in financial difficulty, having to sell even his home to make ends meet. Python is a great example of how you need good management. They still own everything they made, but the income stream from it all has dried up, which seems bizarre for such a globally recognised brand. Idle is also not really friends with John Cleese now, they haven't spoken in 7 years. I asked Eric about their manager, Jim Beach, also Queen's manager and considered one of the great administrators. He said Cleese fired him, unilaterally. Some real bitterness there.
