The last week of August was a watershed moment for Australia. Coal provided less than 50% of Australia's electricty for the first time. The total collapse of coal will accelerate rapidly from here, and it will have exactly zero to do with 'Greenies'. Renewables are far and away the cheapest form of power. (Nuclear is far and away the most expensive form of power.) You do the maths. This is a revolution. Enjoy it, rather than regret later that you were one of the wallies who fought to keep 18th century technology, in the 21st century.
