It says a lot that the same people who froth at the mouth about what a terrible restriction on individual freedom compulsory voting is, will at the same time quite happily support draconian laws on flags, welfare recipients, single mothers, family planning, refugees, what can be taught in schools, abortion, euthanasia, and so on. I’m yet to meet somebody who campaigns for individual freedom who doesn’t really just mean their own freedom to do what they like, but not people they don’t agree with.
