The British Medical Journal. Covid is not really a respiratory disease, breathing is just how it gets into your body. Covid is a vascular disease, it attacks blood vessels. You have blood vessels everywhere. When you catch Covid, ‘getting better’ from that acute infection is just the start of problems. Only then does the virus really get to work, on your blood vessels, and you won’t know that’s happening until it’s too late, sometimes years later. I can only plead again, avoid catching Covid. It will shorten your life, in some cases dramatically. The Spanish Flu in the early 20th century launched an epidemic of heart disease in a similar way, the greatest killer of that century. It kept killing for decades after that flu was ‘over’. https://www.bmj.com/content/392/bmj.s31
