This is very common, deliberate behaviour. Men with tiny weenies whose entire identities is tied up in their Tonka trucks, like toddlers in a sandpit. The shift to EVs makes them feel what they are - nobodies. The modern ute is also useless in just about every way. A shit tray, shit handling on the road, shit aerodynamics, shit ride for the rear seat passengers. And a 2+ tonne raised missile with bullbar ready to pulverise you and your family if one of them hits you on the highway. People buy them because other people buy them, to fit in.
