Peter struggling to understand here. We do this because 99% of human behaviour is imitative rivalry. Status games. Keeping up with the Joneses, as it used to be called. I saw it in Lithgow, the rivalry even got locals buying ridiculously expensive European SUVs like Range Rovers and BMW X5s. Nobody leaves high school any more, not an analogy. That is our culture.
