"The last five prime ministers have actually been the five most unpopular prime ministers in polling history and, according to some polls, each of them has broken the previous one's record for unpopularity.” An article describing the apparently puzzling dramatic growth in hatred towards elected leaders, in the UK, making it ungovernable. The cause is simple. The country, like ours and others, is now living inside social media. As I post about, that means imitative rivalry is out of control. Which leads to rage, and then violence. None of it is ‘politics’. Or capitalism or any other -ism. Or cost of living or other ‘economic’ pressure. It’s the refusal to restrict how much people copy one another. That’s it, that’s the sole cause.
