Gough Whitlam was dismissed by the Governor General in 1975 for not being able to pass appropriation Bills through the Senate. Government was running but the big money Bills couldn't be passed, which the GG (bless his idiot soul) decided made the country ungovernable. Twice now in the past year the current government has actually dissolved parliament, because it couldn't manage its own business. Outrageous, corrupt. If you can't govern, you forfeit the right to govern. Come on Peter Cosgrove, that's much worse than 1975.
