Landline had a great story today about how the biggest obstacle to building the new electricity grid is community opposition, to solar farms, wind farms, pumped hydro and new transmission lines. This isn’t the Australia I grew up in. Nobody cared how electricty was generated or transmitted, we left that to the experts. Social media did this, it made everybody think that everybody else’s business is now their business. It’s like letting passengers fly the plane. Social media needs to be shut down.
