Bruno Latour's ideas about agency to me are the most important thinking of the past half century. Here they are applied to gun control. Why a gun is a different object when held by a person than when it isn't. And why a person is a different person with a gun, than they are without one. Philosophy's job is to free us from the slavery of ideas that have seduced us.
