BYD again are incredibly fast to respond, with their vast toolmaking and engineering resources. The Sealion 7 is their Model Y competitor, to be released in Oz early next year. (Doesn’t it look great). They’ve upgraded the battery even further, to give a range of maybe over 700km (Tesla is rumoured to be doing that for the Model Y being released early next year too). But whereas it took Tesla 4 years to upgrade the Model Y, BYD has done this in weeks. BYD is also incredibly responsive to feedback. In New Zealand when there was an issue identified with emergency braking in one of the BYD models, BYD flew engineers out within 8 hours to fix it.
