Opposites are the in thing. Left and Right, city and the bush, quiet Australians and noisy Australians, etc. I think it’s worth trying this thought experiment with all of them. Hot and cold is a good example. If hot really is the opposite of cold, at what point does one turn into the other? Ditto for Left and Right, if they’re really opposites, where does Left become Right, or vice versa?
